This course will support you to develop your academic skills and prepare you for further study.
An in depth course building on prior knowledge gained within the HSC sector, preparing you to work in the sector and to be able to take on more responsibility. also to build UCAS points in preparation for further study . You will study 9 mandatory units including Equality, Diversity and Rights, Safeguarding and Reflective Practice and 1 externally set assessment. You will also be required to complete at least 75 hours of mandatory work experience as part of your programme.
This course will prepare you to work in a variety of HSC settings by giving you knowledge on core areas of HSC: These include safeguarding, communication, growth and development, equality and inclusion and working in HSC. You will also have the opportunity to learn about mental health and nutrition in HSC.
This course will provide you with the knowledge and skills required to build on previous learning, to support progression into higher education or the workplace in a variety of roles.
