On this course we cover 5 mandatory units, which are

Equality and Diversity, Human growth and development, Safeguarding and protection, Communication and Working in HSC. 

We also cover 2 optional units , which are Nutrition and Mental health.

As well as completing theory work on the course, you are also required to complete a work placement (30 hours minimum). This is a great opportunity for you to get hands on experience in the health and social care field and it's something that will make your CV stand out!

These modules/ units are very exciting and enable you to gain the skills and knowledge required to work in a health and social care field. 

On completion of this course, you can progress on to level 3 Health and social care which will prepare you for studying at university.

Hi we are Emmie and Shamim and we will be teaching you the level 1 Diploma in Introduction to Health and Social Care and Children's and Young People's Settings. The qualification aims to develop your knowledge and awareness of health, social care and children's and young people's settings. It is aimed at learners who wish to develop an understanding of the similarities and differences between theses settings. 

The qualification will provide a pathway into the sector for anyone considering a career in health care, social care or childcare. This will not confirm competence in a job role but will provide an opportunity for learners to develop knowledge about the wider health and health, social care and childcare sector before deciding which sector is for you, gaining the knowledge and information needed to make decisions about your career progression.

Level 3 HSC Certificate

Welcome to the home page for the L3 Certificate in Health and Social Care

The tutors for Level 3 Certificate are-

This is a Level 3 Certificate Course which is made up of 9 mandatory units, and practical assessment through work placement activity. The units include such topics as Equality & Diversity, Safeguarding and Reflective Practice and are all assessed through the Cache Grading system. At present we are following the Government, Covid 19 guidelines, to support and protect our learners, and facilitating learning and course achievement through classroom and remote learning. 

If you are interested in working in the world of Health and Social Care as a Health and Social Care Assistant, a Learning Support Assistant, a Nurse, a Physiotherapist or a Radiologist this course may be the right course for you.  

On achievement of the Level 3 Certificate, you will have the opportunity to access the Level 3 Year 2 Extended Diploma, for Health and Social Care, which can pave the way for University access and the progression of  your Health and Social Care Career.

This course is designed to increase the skills, understanding and practical abilities of students wishes to access University or enter employment, to fulfil their personal career goals in the Health and Social Care Sector. The course is  made up of 5 Units, including Equality and Diversity, Anatomy and Physiology, Safeguarding, and is equivalent to two A Levels. Students also develop their practical abilities through work placement experiences in a variety of Health and Social Care Settings. You can access this programme of study with 5 GCSE'S at Grade C and above. Our Vocational Tutors have many years of experience, within the sector, and consistently update their knowledge and skills so they can provide the best learning experience for our students. We are currently supporting our students to achieve their qualifications through in class and remote learning in accordance with the Covid 19 Government Guidelines.

If you feel that you would like to pursue a career in Nursing, Physiotherapy, Counselling, Radiography, as a Senior Health Care Support Worker or as a Paramedic this is the course for you.
